Under "Other" category in the "In Popular Culture" section, I suggest adding the following entry:
In the 2023 video game Starfield, Ada Lovelace makes an appearance as a non-player character in the form of a clone, among other clones of historical figures, during the game's "Operation Starseed" questline.
How "prominent" would it have to be? I wouldn't compare a flagship title from an industry giant like Bethesda to some bedroom-coded indie game. Pal0013a (talk) 01:43, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well as an absolute minimum, the game should itself be notable. But honestly I'd axe half of what's there now. EEng05:28, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm finding it difficult to see what much of the content of the "In popular culture" section, particularly the "Computing and STEM" and "Other" subsections, has to do with any kind of culture, let alone popular. Can someone (I don't have the energy myself) integrate that content into the article a bit better? And I've glanced at the preceding bits of the article, and some of them seem to be in the same list format. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:01, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. These pop-culture features could serve as an avenue for those to learn about important figures such as Ava. I actually first heard about her from Civilization 6, which features her as a Great Scientist who boosts the "Computers" technology. 138.47.142.15 (talk) 20:56, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
