Source information for images

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed you have uploaded images for Ernst Öpik and others. However, it's important for copyright reasons that uploaded images have a copyright tag to show what their copyright status is, and a source should be provided to show where the images came from. Can you provide this information? Thanks. -- Curps 22:50, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I second that. Wikipedia considers copyright issues very seriously, since this is a legal matter. Therefore the images with unknown source and unclear copyright status will be deleted. Please read Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for options. See also other articles in Category:Wikipedia copyright. Mikkalai 01:46, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I have found the following images you need to provide detailed source and licensing information for:

If they are copyright violations, it's no problem as long as you contact an administrator and have them deleted as soon as possible. Otherwise, please be aware that you are liable for what you insert into Wikipedia, and it's a relatively simple matter to track you down via your IP address and ISP records if you have illegally uploaded photographs. The instructions on the upload page are very clear and you have chosen to disregard them. You are creating a lot of unnecessary work for people. Please either give them an image copyright tag, or ensure that they are deleted. — Trilobite (Talk) 17:54, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Please be aware that all of the above images have been added to Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. Craigy (talk) 08:35, Jun 26, 2005 (UTC)
Image deletion warning The image Image:Antson.jpg has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it will be deleted. If you have any information on the source or licensing of this image, please go there to provide the necessary information.

Thanks for uploading Image:Goamap.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Pippi Lotta Enok moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Pippi Lotta Enok, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
